Research on crawling conditions for an AMT vehicle based on the fuzzy control method

Abstract:

Crawling conditions control for an Automatic Mechanical Transmissions (AMT) Vehicle is described in this paper, an AMT vehicle dynamic model and related control system simulation model based on Matlab / Simulink is built and the fuzzy controller is designed to realize the vehicle crawling control. The vehicle crawling speed can adapt to the driver’s driving intent as well as the load changes. The simulation results show that the fuzzy control method which is applied to the crawling control on the AMT vehicles is rational and feasible.
